Kodiak Retreat is located in beautiful Kalsin Bay on Kodiak Island, Alaska. After
enjoying a scenic 29 mile drive along a beautiful paved coastal road, you will
arrive at the 10+ acres of wooded grounds surrounded by dramatic mountains teeming
with black tail deer, bald eagles, fox, mountain goats, and the occasional Kodiak
brown bear. There is a babbling creek running through the back yard alongside
which sits a fire pit, wooden benches, and a horseshoe pit. You will be within
walking distance of the beautiful Kalsin Beach, the Olds River, a fantastic fishing
stream, and many hiking trails. You will also be within a short drive of several
more phenomenal beaches, scenic cliffs, the Pasagshack River, the American River,
state parks, old WWII bunkers, and the Kodiak launch site. It's the perfect getaway
for a relaxing Alaskan retreat. It's also the ideal stop over on the way to or
from your remote lodge or destination. |

The house is cozy and is a true Alaskan style home with a high peaked wood planked ceiling in the great room, local wildlife adorning the walls, and hand carved wood work abound. The house has been decorated with priceless treasures including a one of a kind handmade black tail deer antler chandelier, unique whale bone artifacts, beautifully displayed local Alaskan game, a custom made river stone fireplace, and art from local artists.

you return from your days of exploring the island, relax and play horseshoes or
croquet, BBQ the fresh fish you just caught, roast marshmallows around the campfire,
or wind down with a good book in front of the fireplace. No luxuries are spared
